It’s that time of year again! Time for fierce feminine leaders to take a step back and reflect on the year they have had in 2016. Time to make plans for the upcoming 2017 year, envisioning the big goals they want to achieve for their business or career and map out how they want to achieve those goals.
So, over the course of the next few episodes, I want to help you map out your success strategy for 2017 through a few “mini trainings” that will help you make 2017 your best, most productive year ever!

It’s mid-December and as we prepare for the upcoming holiday season, many of you successful women in business – myself included – are taking a few moments to reflect on what we accomplished throughout the 2016 year. Do you get frustrated at how long things are taking? Do you think things should be much easier? Years ago, I had the opportunity to interview Stanford University psychologist Dr. Carol Dweck who is the author of the book Mindset which is like a bible to me in my coaching practice. Her book pinpoints two type of mindsets, fixed and growth, and how we use these attitudes to either move forward or keep us back from realizing our goals.
So, on today’s episode, I’ll talk about fixed and growth mindset so you understand what may be keeping you back from your goals. Our attitudes are not set in stone, and many intelligent and competitive women break out of their negative mindsets to achieve success no matter how long it takes.

Jennifer Gillivan is the president and CEO of the IWK Health Center foundation. She has vast experience with philanthropy, partnership strategy, marketing, and of course, leadership. She was born and educated in Dublin, Ireland and migrated to Canada in 1982 where she eventually worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and would later receive the CBC English Television Award for Pioneer Work.
Jennifer’s career started out rocky as an immigrant but on hindsight, she said the rough road she took was actually the perfect environment for her to build what would become a successful career.
In today’s episode, Jennifer will tell us just how to make the female voice heard in a male-dominated society and become a dominant presence inside the boardroom without coming out as arrogant and egoistic.

As a coach, I have had the opportunity to work with many great women leaders in business.
