Being a fierce female leader in your industry takes a lot of courage and strength. With this comes great responsibility and the high possibility to be overwhelmed with the constant pressure and what seems to be a list of never-ending tasks. To make things worse, feeling overwhelmed usually comes at a bad time -- when there’s more work on your plate than you usually have.

On this episode, I share an effective tool to conquer overwhelm. I share a simple tactic my clients and I use to cope with overwhelm and explain how to stay productive despite the number of things you want to accomplish. I also share how long you can take a necessary “pause” as your company’s visionary as you discipline yourself to look at the smaller yet attainable tasks on your list.

“You need to have discipline and talk to yourself: ‘I understand that there’s a lot on my plate. And for right now, I am focusing on THIS one thing.’” - Eleanor Beaton

Today on the Fierce Feminine Leadership Podcast:

  • Why you need to stop looking at the big picture when feeling overwhelmed.
  • How long should you give yourself permission to conquer overwhelm?
  • The tasks you should focus and work on when feeling overwhelmed.
  • Trying to do too many things at once versus breaking things down into ones you can fulfill.

Fierce Leadership Quotes:

  • “It’s normal to feel overwhelmed.” - Eleanor Beaton
  • “It can be normal at that time for self-doubt to creep in.” - Eleanor Beaton
  • “Usually where you’re trying to do too many things at once, you’re not advancing anything.” - Eleanor Beaton
